  1. Hello Judoh. This article is very informative. I am one person who loves juicing and green smoothies. It’s a lifestyle I have adopted for the past one year. I now prefer to take a smoothie in the morning instead of tea. Does a detox help to cleanse the colon? I feel like I have some gunk in there that need to go.

    1. Glad to hear that Ami. To answer your question, detox help cleanse the colon but it depends on what it is and how exactly you detox. Our bodies get exposed to too many toxins both external and internal so detoxing whole body is highly recommended. Have you done any type of colon detox before?

    2. Hello Ami, I am glad to help and to hear that you juice and do smoothies. I love to make smoothies and make sure that I consume at least a glass of some type of smoothie per a day.

Anyway, the simple answer to your question is yes. However, body detoxification is done in many ways and you can target the whole body or just an organ such as lungs, colon etc. Have done any colon detox before?

      Thank you for stopping by!

  2. Detoxing every now and again is so important for a health body! Especially the digestive system. I totally agree with everything you said above. Thanks so much for the suggestions on pre-made smoothies and allowing me to really understand the full benefits of these.

I know I personally use my NutriBullet every day for all sorts of shakes so maybe I will throw this recipe in at some point.

  4. Hi Judoh,

Great post. I love my smoothies and drink a lot of juices also. I use turmeric to help my aches and pains and it is also a good detox food to. I often go a week on juice then a week on smoothies. Also do intermittent fasting. All in the name of good health.

Keep up the great work and great information,

    Cheers,

    Kev

    1. Smoothies are great! I do not do much of juices mainly because they seem to contain a lot of sugar.

I love tumeric and I use it few times a week. One thing about tumeric that sometimes discourages me from using it is that it stains everything from my wooden spoon to kids clothes. I have yet to find a way of getting rid of tumeric stains.

Thank you for dropping by kevin.

  5. I’m a smoothie fan! I often spend time driving and find the bottled smoothies really good to take in the car as then I don’t end up eating junk food. I’ve also used them for a quick detox a few times, that way I don’t have to mess up the kitchen or clean the blender.

    1. I am too. For me, I make lots of smoothies then I freeze some for later. Both my kids and I take them on the go when we travel. It just makes things easy as you said.

      Thank you for dropping by!
