  1. Thank you so much for this article. These foods you listed are great for the body. Not only do they promote fat loss but will aid in lean muscle growth as well. The world seems to have become way over weight over the last 20 years and its time for things to change and this will help many on that road. Thank you for sharing.

    1. You are more than welcome Erik.

The food we eat have changed and so is our lifestyle. People are not as active as they used to be and there is so much processed food that make things worse for the body to in order for it to function properly.

As you said its time to take action. Hence, we need foods that help you lose weight for the “good” need to be incorporated in our diet.

  2. Thanks for providing a list of foods to help in this area. Here in Canada it’s hard because we store fat and don’t move much in the winter. It’s what we do. Come the spring everyone is outside and moving around trying to burn fat. It’s hard but like you said it must be done to avoid health issues. Thanks for this, really well done.

    1. Sure thing Peter. Definitely living in a place where there is winter does not help much. However, my experience has been that staying fit and working out requires a level of commitment. So for me I tried to get some sweat in regardless of the weather. Well, except when it’s raining. I really don’t like to get wet.

But I am glad to hear that during Spring people get moving to better health.

      Thank you for your input!

  3. I really enjoyed reading this especially because some of my favorite foods have made it on the list! I’m in my mid-thirties and I can feel the difference when I make good eating choices. My metabolism has slowed down and I have made it a priority to healthy eating. Thank you for this article it was reassuring and very informative.

    1. Cedes,

I am glad to hear that you have opted for making healthy eating habits. As we grow older, our metabolism slows down…actually nothing seems to work as it did before. So rest assured that you’re not the only one 🙂

The Good news though is that there are few things we can do (such as exercise, eat right, get enough rest…) to age gracefully.

      Thank you for dropping by!

  4. I like your article. Being a very educated foodie I think the majority of things you have suggested are great. I’m also a vegan so taking meat products out of my diet helps with weight loss and all around health. I’m usually very critical about what people recommend when it comes to diet, because there is a lot of false information out there, but I like what you’ve put together. Thanks.

    1. Devon, I have been thinking about becoming a vegan myself, but my partner is not on board with it yet. Meat (especially processed meat) affects our overall health greatly; and I have no doubt that it affects our dieting as well.

      Thank you for stopping by!
